Just outside Bath, in a breathtaking location; Bluebell Cottage offers the best of both worlds; from stunning rolling countryside to all that the Roman City of Bath has to offer. Charming Cotswold villages are scattered all around. Set on a beautiful private estate, our 17th century stone cottage has been renovated to a very high standard, beautifully decorated with artefacts from around the world and filled with everything you could need for a wonderful stay.
There are stunning views all around and we’re surrounded by miles of seemingly unending countryside, yet within easy reach of many splendid pubs and restaurants in the area. Lucknam Park is an 8 minute drive for a special meal and The White Hart is a 10 minute drive if you fancy something quicker. On days when you don't want to visit nearby Bath, there are numerous great pubs, restaurants & shops in the nearby town of Corsham (20 minutes) and the beautiful surrounding villages each have their own offerings of great food, drink and places to see. A car is needed for getting into Bath and surrounding villages but opportunities for walking all around here are a plenty. The nearest pub is a 30 minute walk away.
Guests will have access to the whole cottage, which is self-contained. To the front is a large garden to relax in - with incredible views across the Box valley. You can take a short walk to the lake and take a dip if you’re feeling brave! A working stove (gas fired), cosy bath robes and REN products are all here to make our guests as cosy and comfortable as possible.
Minimum 3 night stay.
I booked the cottage as a base to celebrate my Dad’s 60th birthday and we were absolutely thrilled with it. It’s very secluded and we enjoyed a number of short walks in the grounds (the views were breath taking – as below, the photos really don’t do them justice). I cooked a 5 course meal in the kitchen with no problems at all – it’s exceptionally well equipped for a holiday cottage and we’d kindly been left fresh bread, milk, tea/coffee and sugar. The bathroom was also lovely with good quality soaps and clean, fluffy towels. The place is finished to a high standard, the beds comfortable and the location second to none. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend it to others. - Heather
The cottage is in a very scenic location with great views across the valley. On arrival Alice was helpful in answering our questions and we found the cottage welcome pack and map were helpful. The rooms were all done do a good standard (as per the photos) and the kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. We loved taking a long round walk from the cottage to Colerne and back via Ditteridge and By Brook. Being only ~20 mins to Bath was also very handy. - Tom
Lovely cottage, in a beautiful location. The photos don't do the views justice. Amazing country mansion just next door, which was spectacular to see. Easy to get to Bath. Cottage itself is cosy, and decorated nicely. Only minor niggle would be the lack of a proper shower, but there is a lovely bath and bathroom. Met and welcomed by Alice who runs the place, was very friendly, contactable before and showed us around the area well. - Guy
